Excellent Vegan Milk Choices For Pregnant Women

Being a vegan during pregnancy might look difficult but it is rather not! With the right food and drink choices, you can easily get all your vital nutrients required during pregnancy. I’ve met with many vegan pregnant women in my baby scan clinic and birth club and they all gave birth to healthy babies. So if you’re vegan and still continue to be one with a bump, then this blog is just for you! Drinking milk has n number of advantages. Milk provides calcium, Vitamin D, protein, and is also good for satisfying hunger. But what if you can’t drink cow or goat’s milk? No problem, as there are vegan substitutes for milk to choose from and they are as delicious and healthier as any other milk from a dairy farm.

So, let’s have a quick look at some excellent vegan milk choices for pregnant women.

1. Cashew Milk:

It is one of the yummiest vegan milk options available until now. Cashew milk has protein, magnesium, unsaturated fats, and iron. Drinking cashew milk will ensure good heart-health, improve vision, and strengthen immunity. Opt for homemade cashew milk and make it by soaking the cashews overnight and draining the excess water in the morning. Add the soaked cashews in a blender with 3-4 cups of water, and enjoy the rich taste of cashews.

2. Coconut Milk:

We all love the delightful flavour of coconuts, don’t we? Well, did you know coconut milk is one of the healthiest vegan milk options you can try when you have a bun in your oven. Coconut milk is rich in potassium, magnesium, calcium, and good fats. This rich milk will boost your metabolism and improve bad cholesterol in the body. You can make homemade coconut milk by grating the coconut’s flesh and soaking it in hot water. You can extract the milk as much as possible with a cheesecloth or a muslin cloth and add vanilla essence to that delectable treat.

3. Pea Milk:

Attention, please! Pea milk is the new hype now! Trust me, it never crossed my mind that we would have pea milk in the future, but here we are. So, why pea milk? Well, because it has protein, calcium, Vitamin A and D, and iron, almost everything that cow milk possess! The best part about this baby is unlike cow milk, it gets easily digested and even reduces the risk of allergies. Now, would you not give this milk a try?

Choose any of the above vegan milk as per your choice. Also, don’t forget to get USG scans from Ultrasound Baby Scanning Services Peterborough.
