Herbal Teas To Sip During Pregnancy

Teas have always been a significant part of English culture. Sipping sweet tea was always popular during the Victorian period. When it comes to teas, herbal teas are always a better option during pregnancy. You can drink them after coming from work, before dozing off to sleep and after visiting your ultrasound baby scan clinic.

Herbal teas help in relaxing the mind and curing insomnia. They also have less caffeine content which makes it perfect for pregnancy. But not all herbal teas are safe during pregnancy and even the safe ones should be drunk in small quantities. So today I’ve listed up some safe herbal teas to sip when you are with a bump! Let’s check them out.

Ginger Tea:

When you have nausea and vomiting then nothing works better than ginger tea. It’s best for you to drink ginger tea during the first trimester as that’s the time when you suffer from morning sickness. To make ginger tea, boil ginger in 3-4 cups of water. Strain the decoction and sweeten it with honey.

Chamomile Tea:

Chamomile tea is amazing for you if you suffer from anxiety and insomnia as it has a soothing effect on the mind. Also, the tea has a wonderful taste so there’s no harm in trying it. You can brew dry chamomile flowers and use honey for some extra flavour and sweetness.

Lemon Balm Tea:

Drink lemon balm tea for nausea and indigestion. It also has that lemony flavour and fragrance that’s surely going to improve your mood. You can either use a tea blend or lemon balm leaves for a happy cup of comfort.

Green Tea:

Although the above-mentioned herbal teas are safe to consume during pregnancy, you should not drink them more than 2 cups a day. It’s advisable to drink your favourite herbal tea from the above just one cup a day before going to bed. Also, do not forget to check your baby’s well-being from an ultrasound baby scan clinic. You can avail baby scan offers from Ultrasound Baby Scanning Services Peterborough.
